Grammar Cards – Using Even If in English

Even if means whether or not.

It is used to emphasize that something will still be true if another thing happens.



Example Sentences;

  • Even if you take a taxi, you’ll still miss your plane.
  • You will go to that cinema even if they don’t allow you.
  • Even If he studies hard, he can’t be successful.
  • He will come even if he is tired.
  • I’ll go even if you forbid me to.
  • Even if Mark was offered a job in Paris, he wouldn’t accept it.
  • Even if I wash my car, it still won’t look new.
