Future Simple Tense

When we speak English in everyday life, we sometimes want to talk about our plans and our basic concerns about the future. Moreover, we may sometimes need to use the future tense mode in case of sudden events that occur in an unplanned manner. It is important to remember that there are different features related to different time modes.

There are many ways we can express ourselves using the future tense. The first is to use future simple tense. Future simple tense gives the person you listen to information about your simple plans for the future. When building sentences with Future simple tense, you can support your sentence with some time frames that define the future time. In this way, you will be able to explain your problem in a very short time.

Positive Sentence in Future Simple Tense

Will is the basic word you will use in future simple tense. We use ‘’ will ‘’ in both singular subjects, plural subjects, and subject I. It’s hard to make a mistake because Will doesn’t have different suffix according to different subjects.



When creating sentences with the word Will, we sometimes want to abbreviate. While studying the following sentences, you will learn how to use the word will. Here the general structure of a sentence:

  • Subject + Will + Verb + Object

Negative Sentence in Future Simple Tense

Future simple tense negative sentence usage is very similar to positive sentence usage. In this type of use, you will only need to put a single word next to the word will. When you use such a sentence structure, you inform the other person about something that you plan not to happen in the future.

  • Subject + ( Will + Not ) Wouldn’t + Verb + Object




Here some examples:

  1. I will not see you if I will not come.
  2. She won’t write to you.
  3. You will not be there if you do not remember that you should be.
  4. How about you, won’t you tell me?
